THE 2012 ARTS NETWORK

The 2012 Arts Network strives to provide information for all arts organisations looking to use the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games as a catalyst to build their organisations, or develop their artistic and educational goals.

It is a free service, run voluntarily by Glyn Ley, and has no connection with and receives no funding from any organisation. It aims to include all art forms, and encourage closer ties between art and sport, and the mutual benefits of these activities.

The Olympics are not just happening in London. There are events happening around the country, and this site is intended to be a resource for people all over the U.K.

WHY RUN THIS WEBSITE?

The 2012 Arts Network has been set up to be a central location for information for all arts organisations interested in the possibilities which the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games may give them. This website will hopefully also become an open forum for discussion, independent of any funding or organisational body.

The idea is not to steer arts organisations a certain way, but to provide all the relevant information possible to give those who are interested a clearer view of what they can achieve with London 2012 in mind. I also hope that this site and the network generally will focus on creating real ties and creating ideas between organisations.

The 2012 Arts Network is a voluntary project which is free for all to join and receives no funding from any source.
The 2012 Arts Network is not affiliated in any way to London 2012 and the views expressed on this website are independent. © 2012 Arts Network 2007.
