ABOUT GLYN LEY

Glyn Ley

I graduated from the University of Kent at Canterbury in 2001 with a BA (Hons) in Film Studies, before moving into retail and I.T. support. I have recently completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Arts
Management from City University in London, which is where my interest in the arts and London 2012 developed. Until recently I worked as the Administrator for Akademi, a South Asian dance organisation based in north London. I currently live in South West England, and am a freelance Website Designer and Co-ordinator.

Outside of the arts I am a self-confessed sports obsessive, and am generally excited about London winning the Olympics just because it is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see an event such as this in my own back yard.

But the good that the Olympics should do to the area in terms of regeneration, injected funds and broader opportunities can make a real difference to the arts. I am really interested in looking at the opportunities of this, and cutting through the general negativity which appears to have been applied to the arts' inclusion in London 2012.
